There is perhaps no other dei-form in the History of Man who has had as many incarnations as "The Adversary". His name IS Legion, after all.
Have you ever truly considered what that meant?
You should.
He's a "Fallen Angel"; the First-Born...the Most Perfect...the Rebel Who Turned Away from Heaven to inhabit and populate the Earth with His Children. And Hers. He has also been a She. Oftentimes, He and She are "consorts" or a pair that is simply One Divided, not Two Apart. They are the primordial pair, the Son and Daughter of the Self-Created One. One comprises everything...including nothing. I'll write more on that elsewhere. They are Wisdom and Her Shining Beast; the Scapegoat, the Messiach, and the Serpent.
We've all blamed the Angel or Devil that live inside us on our actions. It's what we've been taught to do by the examples that the fathers of organized relgions spoon-fed us and told us was the Ineffable Word of God. It is far from that...or is it? Here, that statement is the Truth, but it is a Lie as it was interpreted by those who wanted not only control of your soul, but your mind, your body and your possessions.
He's called Eblis, the Liar...but it is through Him, I've learned the Truth. Go figure.
As The Light-Bringer, Lucifer is the Promise of a New Day.
As the Evening Star, the Sentinel or Watchman, Who remains behind as the Sun departs into the west, the Guardian of the Mysteries of That Which is Hidden.
S/He seems to have a mind of Hir own, wandering to and fro across the Earth as S/He pleases...not behaving like all the other good planets.
As Azazel, He is the Divine Alchemist ~ the Master of Fire, Refinement and Transmutation.
As The Serpent, He is the Father of all Wise and Cunning Ones.
As Ea/En.ki, He is the Creator of Mankind and Its Savior, as well as the author of the Laws of Civilization and the Order of the World.
As the Peacock Angel, Melek Ta'us, He is the First Manifestation of The Light that was The White Pearl that was fractured into innumerable rays of light, seen and unseen by the eyes of Man.
As Inanna, She is the Great Whore of Babylon, the Queen of Heaven and the Consort of Kings.
As Ereshkigal, She is the Dark Queen of the Underworld and Consort of the Dark Lord of Lawyers and Demons, Nergal.
As Lilith, She is the Mother of all things impermanent, the Night Hag and Companion to the Serpent dwelling at the base of the World Tree...a haunter of strange erotic dreams, the Siren of the Deserts, and the Mother of all Witches.
Who better then than Lucifer, to serve as the icon of this tradition, than that single entity who represents all these dei-forms and more?
~ Dark Angel ~
